JD Cloud Partners with Merchants to Promote Agricultural Products

JD Cloud will partner with more than 3,000 merchants to promote select agricultural products from 50 growing belts in China during this year’s JD 618 Grand Promotion.

All 50 belts are using solutions provided by JD Cloud in their drive to digital transformation.

The online promotion will be in the form of a store named Bazaar on the Cloud, which consists of rice, flowers, tea, eggs and potatoes.

The promotion will be supported by JD Cloud’s solutions such as livestreaming.

“The online promotion expands sales channels for local agricultural produce,” said Yang Yulong, a merchant from Jiujiang of Jiangxi province, at the launch ceremony on May 24.

JD Cloud has helped Jiujiang create a digital economy industrial park, providing new infrastructure and technological support to foster local business growth and innovation.

This year will be the third time for Yang to join the online promotion.

During last year’s Singles Day Grand Promotion (Nov. 1-11), over 3,000 merchants participated and achieved a combined year-on-year order value growth of 59%.

In another effort to support agricultural merchants, JD Cloud helped promote 27 local specialties in Wuxi and Chongqing in May this year, achieving total sales of almost RMB 1 million yuan.
