JD Debuts New Trade-in Service for Apple Products

by Rachel Liu

JD.com has rolled out a new trade-in service for Apple products after Apple’s Spring Loaded 2021 event on Apr. 21. The service enables JD customers to trade in up to five old electronics products for one new Apple product.

The service is an upgrade of the old trade-in service, which only allows customer to trade in one old product toward the cost of a new product. In the future, the new trade-in service will be expanded to other mobile phone brands on JD. Customers can choose to replace the old phone in Apple stores or enjoy the trade-in service at their doorsteps.

“We are happy to debut the new one-stop trade-in service for Apple’s new products and provide an upgraded service for customers,” said Daniel Tan, president of JD Mobile Devices. “Today is International Earth Day, and we hope that JD’s trade-in services encourage customers to join us in recycling old electronics products and making their own efforts on environmental sustainability.”

Apple’s Spring Loaded event introduced several new products, including the new Apple TV 4K, iMac, iPad Pro, AirTag and the purple version of iPhone 12. The new products are all available for pre-order on JD.
