Malaysian Ambassador Eyes Close Cooperation With JD

The Malaysian embassy in Beijing hopes to establish close cooperation with JD and provide support for the company’s import and export business, H.E. Raja Dato’ Nushirwan Zainal Abidin, the Malaysian ambassador to China said at a meeting with JD’s international business executives on October 19th .

The ambassador led a delegation visiting JD’s headquarters in Beijing and met president of JD’s international business Xiaobing Yan, and other executives, including Dr. Wenkai Lyu, president of Asia and Pacific Business of JD.com.

The ambassador said that he admires the fast development of private Chinese enterprises like JD. The Malaysian government and its embassy in China will work more closely with the Chinese government and enterprises.

“JD hopes to deepen communication with the Malaysian government and help Malaysian merchants explore the Chinese market,” said Yan, who is also a senior vice president of JD.

Yan said that JD hopes to make use of its strong supply chain to provide the best quality products for Malaysian consumers. Meanwhile, JD hopes to bring more quality Malaysian products to the Chinese market with the help of the Malaysian government.

Yan added that, as a supply chain-based technology and services enterprise, JD has been exploring markets in Southeast Asia, including Thailand and Indonesia, cooperating with local governments and enterprises. While achieving business growth, JD’s presence in the region has also advanced local industrial upgrade and boosted the economy.
