Costco Launches Official Store on JD.com with Fast Delivery Nationwide in China
JD.com and Costco China announce a new strategic partnership on July 22, making JD.com Costco’s sole official e-commerce platform partner in China. By combining Costco’s curated product selection with JD.com’s nationwide supply chain and logistics infrastructure, consumers across the country can now order Costco’s offerings online with fulfillment as fast as same-day.

The official flagship store launched for trial operation in late May on JD.com currently features about 700 product types across core retail categories, including snacks, food staples, personal care, beauty, household paper products, and nutritional supplements. In its first month of pilot operation, the storefront generated strong customer enthusiasm, drawing over 30 million visitors and securing nearly 200,000 store followers. High-demand items under Costco’s private brand, Kirkland Signature, such as its signature pistachios, experienced rapid sell-outs and repeated inventory restocking.
To lower purchase barriers and extend brand accessibility beyond physical store locations, the online flagship now offers flexible fulfillment starting from RMB 99 (~$13.80 USD) and allows customers to shop online without requiring an offline Costco membership card.
“Partnering with JD.com marks a pivotal step in scaling Costco’s business in China by transcending the physical footprint of our membership warehouses,” said Costco China . “Leveraging JD.com’s established online platform and extensive logistics network enables us to break regional limitations, extend our reach into broader markets, and efficiently deliver Costco’s signature merchandise and service value to consumers nationwide.”
“JD.com reaches over 700 million active users who prioritize both premium quality and value—a demographic that seamlessly aligns with Costco’s customer base,” said a spokesperson for JD Super, the online supermarket business under JD Retail. “By leveraging our omni-channel marketing resources and nationwide supply chain, we look forward to helping inject new vitality into Costco’s growth in China.”
As Costco celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, this exclusive partnership brings together two retail leaders with a shared commitment to quality, value and customer experience. It also reinforces JD.com’s role as China’s most effective platform for brand building and sales acceleration, trusted by many of the world’s leading brands to grow their business in China. JD.com and Costco will continue to focus on consumer demand by expanding online product categories, deepening supply chain coordination, exploring customized product offerings, and enhancing member benefits to provide a seamless e-commerce experience across China.
