All orders will be packed at ochama’s automated warehouse in the Netherlands before being delivered.

For customers in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium, they can now benefit from next-day pick-up options, with ordering time extended until midnight at over 500 pick-up points. On September 27, JD.com announced the establishment of the Green Impact Partners Alliance, a milestone in the company’s commitment to fostering sustainable commerce. The Alliance is an integral facet of JD’s ongoing Green Impact Initiative, an expansive commitment to offer environmentally friendly products on its platform.

Several high-profile fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brands, including Breeze, OMO, and BABO, are among its inaugural members. The Alliance aims to foster collaboration and advocate for green products across three key fronts: efficient supply chain management, insightful consumer-to-manufacturer product design, and impactful marketing cooperation.

Under the banner of the Alliance, JD Super, the supermarket division of JD Retail, is embarking on a series of transformative partnerships:

  • JD Forest in Hainan: In collaboration with leading tissue paper manufacturer Breeze, JD.com is establishing JD Forest in Hainan, contributing to reforestation efforts.
  • JD Bamboo Forest in Sichuan: Partnering with bamboo pulp tissue manufacturer BABO, JD is creating dedicated bamboo forests in Sichuan, supporting sustainable bamboo production.
  • OMO Tree Planting Initiative: JD.com and detergent leader OMO are launching an initiative where every purchase of OMO laundry capsules triggers a one-yuan donation towards tree planting, fostering a virtuous cycle of environmental care.

To encourage environmentally conscious consumption, consumers who purchase these eco-friendly products will receive shopping rewards in their accounts based on their expenses, further incentivizing green choices in everyday shopping.

The Alliance was officially announced at an inauguration ceremony in Beijing, where Qu Feng, CEO of Golden Hongye Paper Group, the parent company of Breeze, Zhang Shuyi, Vice President of the Home Cleaning Division at Unilever China, and representatives from JD jointly reaffirmed their dedication to the shared cause.

Niu Yinghua, Vice President of JD.com and General Manager of the Cleaning, Personal Care, and Maternal and Baby Product Department at JD Retail, stated that nearly one hundred green products have been introduced through the Green Impact Partners Alliance so far. By 2024, the Alliance plans to welcome an additional 20 reputable brands from major FMCG categories, tripling the number of green-labeled product offerings.

The Alliance is poised to benefit from JD’s vast market insights and industry trends, ensuring a broader spectrum of sustainable consumer-to-manufacturer products in collaboration with brand partners. Furthermore, the Alliance partners are poised to co-develop numerous environment-centric marketing campaigns, driving a comprehensive push towards eco-friendly lifestyles.

Volkswagen Group China Partners with JD Industrials for Digital Transformation of MRO Procurement

Volkswagen Group China and JD Industrials recently inked a strategic partnership to digitally transform the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) procurement process for Volkswagen in China. By leveraging JD Industrials’ advanced digital solutions, the initiative aims to bolster efficiency, streamline operations, and achieve cost reductions in Volkswagen’s procurement processes.

Having been a steadfast partner in China’s automotive landscape for nearly four decades, Volkswagen Group has built a comprehensive supply chain ecosystem within the country. The newly minted agreement integrates JD Industrials’ “full-chain solution,” designed to provide a seamless, one-stop online MRO procurement and digital management service for Volkswagen—from materials matching to order execution and financial settlement.

JD Industrials’ intelligent digital procurement platform enables precise analysis of MRO inventory metrics. This empowers Volkswagen with data-driven insights that optimize inventory management, minimize costs, and inform strategic decision-making.

Initially, the partnership will encompass seven entities of Volkswagen Group China, incorporating a vast array of over 14,000 SKUs in various MRO categories, ranging from advanced automotive testing tools to personal protective equipment and office essentials.

JD.com’s Agricultural Specialties Shopping Festival Records Impressive Sales, Emphasizing Quality Delivery

JD.com held a grand ceremony of its Agricultural Specialties Shopping Festival on September 19th, which coincides with the 2023 China National Harvest Festival. Now in its second year, JD.com’s Agricultural Specialties Festival, which commenced on September 1st and continues for one month, has witnessed soaring sales across diverse agricultural products.

For example, a staggering 668 tons of crabs, sourced from 12 distinct lake regions, found eager buyers. Highlighting the efficiency of JD’s supply chain and logistics infrastructure, crabs from Suqian, Jiangsu, traveled over 2,000 kilometers, reaching a customer in Kunming, Yunnan, within just 23 hours. Furthermore, over 50,000 shoppers ordered more than 400,000 Laiyang pears from Shandong. In a single day, sales exceeded 5,800 matsutakes from Tibet, and, to date, over five tons of Yunnan macadamia nuts have been sold.

JD Airlines Announces Inaugural International Cargo Flight Connecting Shenzhen and Ho Chi Minh City

September 19, 2023 – JD Airlines, the air cargo division of JD Logistics, today announced its first international all-cargo route connecting Shenzhen, China and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. A B737-800BCF cargo aircraft successfully carried out the first round-trip flight today, marking a pivotal moment for JD Airlines since its operations began in October 2022.

In collaboration with airline service company CSAA, JD Airlines will operate the trade route three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The route is optimized to primarily transport cross-border e-commerce parcels from China to Vietnam, while also facilitating the shipment of key agricultural exports—such as fruit and seafood—from Vietnam to China.

Leveraging the advantageous location and service capabilities of Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, JD Airlines has successfully established an expansive air cargo network that seamlessly interconnects regions in the North, South, and East of China.

With the launch of the inaugural flight between Shenzhen and Ho Chi Minh City, JD Airlines remains committed to expanding its global reach and enhancing its international transportation capabilities. Plans are underway to explore additional international routes connecting to key markets in Southeast Asia, South Asia, South Korea, and Japan, among other regions.

Since 2017, JD Logistics has been developing its air cargo division in collaboration with airline partners. At 8:00 PM on September 15th, JD.com officially launched its iPhone 15 presale. Through JD’s “Shop Now” omnichannel initiative, the company is providing a guaranteed one-hour home delivery service for customers when the product becomes officially available on September 22nd, ensuring a hassle-free shopping experience devoid of long waits or queues.

For the second consecutive year, JD Daojia (JDDJ), a subsidiary of JD.com,  proudly takes on the role of the primary instant retail platform for Apple’s latest smartphone launch. Customers can complete their pre-payment reservations via JDDJ, confident that their iPhone 15 will be dispatched from the nearest Apple-certified store on its global release date. Orders will be delivered by Dada couriers, the local on-demand delivery service provided by Dada Group under JD.com.

Deepening its partnership with Apple, JD.com offers superior retail experiences both online and offline. This includes hosting Apple’s online flagship store on JD.com and incorporating over 4,600 Apple-authorized retail locations into its JDDJ platform, which spans more than 1,700 counties and cities across China. JD Health Dispatches Expert Physician and Donates Critical Supplies for Earthquake Relief in Morocco

JD Health is rapidly mobilizing resources to aid the ongoing earthquake relief efforts in Morocco. On September 14th, we dispatched an expert orthopedic doctor to collaborate with the international disaster response team led by the Beijing One Heart Sphere Charity Foundation. Additionally, we’re coordinating the delivery of essential medical supplies to support the mission.

Dr. Zhang Haijing, a veteran in medical relief with nearly two decades of specialized experience, will represent JD Health in Morocco. His extensive background includes involvement in flood relief, earthquake rescues, counter-terrorism operations, and mass event medical assistance. Since joining JD Health, Dr. Zhang has provided complimentary consultations to hundreds during emergency rescues, drawing from his expertise in wilderness first aid and medical rescue.

The volunteer team will depart at midnight on September 14th, Beijing time. They will bring an initial shipment of critical medical supplies, generously donated by JD Health in partnership with China’s leading medical product manufacturer, HYNAUT. The shipment includes essentials such as iodine swabs, sterile disinfectant swabs, waterproof dressings, adhesive tapes, surgical dressings, non-woven bandages, and N95 masks, among others.
